Ari Lehtela Hybrid Instruments
January 2007—Two-thousand and Five saw the debut of the SITARI, a unique, one-of-a-kind instrument combining elements of sitar, guitar and some of the fretless instruments of the East. Ari Lehtela has taken the 'hybrid' concept to the next level with an entire family of new hybrid instruments. The family consists of five instruments that combine elements of string instruments of the East and the West. These instruments should be of particular interest to guitarists as they are ergonomically designed to be played in a conventional guitar position (sitting or standing). More information coming soon!

West Eats Meat CD Release January 2007—Ari Lehtela and his trio, West Eats Meat, will be releasing their debut CD, West Eats Meat, later this year. This trio recording features three of the new hybrid instruments, the Sitari, Sadari and the Orientari. Stay tuned for more information.
